- Level & Responsibility: This role is at Senior Executive level. This role might be better known as an Onsite Specialist or Performance Retail Specialist in other businesses.
- Salary: £40,000+ per annum, depending on experience plus a 10% bonus scheme

The role
We are looking for a Senior Digital Media Executive (Onsite) to join SMG. In this role, you will work as a digital specialist within the central SMG media team and be responsible for activating media campaigns (mainly Sponsored Products ads and Onsite Activities) across multiple agencies and partnerships within the SMG family. While your primary focus will be on Sponsored Products ads and onsite activities, you will also have the opportunity to engage with other channels such as social and programmatic if desired. Under the guidance of senior team members, you will have ownership of campaigns, and their activation, optimisation and troubleshooting and reporting. You will build relationships with key external partners such as Criteo and Citrus, as well as with stakeholders across the business especially client management teams, planning and insights who you will work closely on campaign planning, activation, and measurement.

- Experience of media buying (Onsite Sponsored Search)
- Essential platform experience (Criteo & Citrus)
- Preferred platform experience (Meta, and/or trade desk).
- Experience running lower funnel ROI campaigns essential (CPA, ROAS, ROI).
- Familiarity with digital performance metrics.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks across multiple projects and agencies
- Experience in a growing FMCG, retail, or media environment (preferable).
- Experience in creating visual presentations, slides, and reports

What you'll be doing
We pride ourselves on creating challenging and exciting opportunities, meaning that no two days are the same. However, here's an idea of what your responsibilities will look like:
Campaign activation and management
- Manage Sponsored Products/Search campaigns end-to-end, including planning, activation, pacing, optimization, and reporting.
- Monitor campaigns daily to ensure budget pacing and optimal performance.
- Weekly optimizations across all retailers, analysing key search terms performance and their organic results, ensuring all campaigns/retailers meet objectives.
- Track share of voice for key search terms monthly using platform data and BrandNudge reports (if available), aligning with client targets.
- Request and manage campaign briefs for each quarter or new period, ensuring all necessary data is included and updated mid-campaign if changes occur (e.g., bid adjustments, SKU updates).
- Develop and maintain promotion calendars for each retailer based on the briefing form and update SKUs as needed.
- Forecast and plan budgets for upcoming periods (quarterly or semi-annually) with support from a senior member of the team.
- Manage technical relationships with platforms like Criteo and Citrus, raising issues directly or via agencies and following up on tickets.
- Attend Criteo monthly calls with a senior team member to raise any issues and questions plus manage invoicing processes as needed.
- Proactively collaborate with the client team, addressing requests promptly and providing updates or recommendations.
- Identify areas for improvement to enhance cost, performance, or resource efficiency in campaigns.
- Support the rest of the Media team with tasks like media plan creation, campaign builds, optimizations, and reporting when needed.
Reporting
- Updating the YTD report on a weekly/monthly basis for sponsored search campaigns.
- Creating quarterly/end-of-campaign reports for each client and presenting them on a call alongside a senior team member and client team representative.
- Alongside senior team members, attend client calls as needed, including briefing response calls, training, troubleshooting, or other on-demand tasks.
- Working with planning, insights, and digital media managers assist with PCA creation and delivery.
- Mid campaign and end of campaign reporting.
Innovation
- Alongside the digital media manager, discover new platforms and partnership opportunities.
- Always staying up to date with current platforms (Citrus and Criteo) regarding any updates, new placements, trials, promotions, or algorithm changes, and informing the client team or the client as needed.
- Help with platform onboarding and any technical implementations.
- Offer support to the wider media team as required, helping with related queries and wider team responsibilities.
- Keep pace with industry trends and proactively support with driving forward new opportunities and propositions.
