Client Manager (Events)
Lead bold ATL and retail events that drive impact, spark creativity, and shape VMG’s brand success.
Location: Liverpool, hybrid 2 days a week
Salary: From £39 + 10% discretionary bonus
Level: Manager-level, operating as an individual contributor and managing one person
About the Role
Join VMG as our Client Manager and take the lead in creating campaigns that turn heads and drive results.
You’ll own the strategy and delivery of all ATL and event activity from bold ideas to flawless execution, ensuring every campaign is impactful, insight-led, and aligned with VMG’s commercial goals.
Working with creative partners and internal teams, you’ll bring fresh thinking, innovation, and energy to every project, pushing boundaries to elevate performance year after year.

A Little Bit About You
You’ll bring:
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience in marketing or retail media, ideally within an agency or retail environment
- Strong campaign management skills with a track record of delivering high-performing brand activations
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and clients simultaneously
- Confidence in data interpretation and financial reporting, with strong Excel proficiency
- Ability to drive innovation and creativity in both media planning and execution
Leadership & Personal Attributes
- Experience mentoring or managing team members, fostering accountability and growth
- Strong communicator and relationship builder with cross-functional collaboration skills
- Highly organised and proactive with a solutions-focused approach
- Positive, resilient attitude with a drive to deliver excellence and inspire others

What You’ll Be Doing
Your days will be dynamic. You might find yourself:
Strategic Campaign Planning and Delivery
- Lead the development and execution of innovative, insight-led event and ATL campaigns that drive commercial growth and strengthen VMG’s partnership with
The Very Group. - Ensure all campaign activity reflects creative excellence, commercial effectiveness, and alignment with VMG’s wider brand and business objectives.
- Evaluate performance post-campaign, using insights to inform continuous improvement and shape future strategy.
Relationship Management and Collaboration
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across VMG, The Very Group, and supplier brands.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and alignment to deliver seamless, impactful campaigns.
- Champion a proactive and solution-focused approach to partnership management, ensuring VMG is recognised as a trusted and strategic collaborator.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become challenges, ensuring seamless collaboration and integration across teams during major
events.
Innovation and Media Excellence
- Drive innovation across all ATL and event activity, challenging conventional approaches to deliver fresh, engaging, and results-driven campaigns.
- Leverage data, insights, and market trends to inform creative strategy, media planning, and execution.
- Keep VMG at the forefront of retail media innovation, redefining creativity and impact across every campaign.
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead by example to create a high-performing, collaborative team culture built on trust, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Coach and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
- Foster a shared sense of ownership and pride in delivering best-in-class campaign work.
