The role
We are looking for a Programmatic Manager to join our Media team at SMG. You will help to build out SMGs programmatic strategy, as well as future-proofing our current offering.
What you'll be doing
We pride ourselves on creating challenging and exciting opportunities, meaning that no two days are the same. However, here's an idea of what your responsibilities will look like:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day trading activities of the programmatic trading team.
- Provide support and guidance to two programmatic executives.
- Contribute towards our overall programmatic strategy, providing recommendations for innovations and future-proofing.
- Oversee pacing and performance of all campaigns managed by the team and implement QA process across all campaigns.
- Support client teams as in-house expert, when required, on client meetings or pitches.
- Own the end-to-end processes for the trading team, ensuring traders time is optimised.
- Be the programmatic expert within the agency and become the go-to person for queries and knowledge.
- Work together with programmatic executives to produce best in class brief responses and post-campaign analysis sessions.
- Help to source potential new partners within the industry and drive forward new innovations.
- Stay on top of industry trends and news and ensure SMG stays ahead of the market.
What you'll need to have / be
- Experience using advertising platforms to set-up, manage and optimise digital marketing campaigns. In-platform experience required.
- Ambitious and proactive in your approach, looking to accelerate the growth of the group by being able to create and/or improve processes whilst also working within a fast-paced nature.
- Strong data analysis ability.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Time management skills and capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects and campaigns.
- Results driven with a problem-solving attitude.
- High attention to detail.

The process
- We will invite you to a first interview which we try to keep relatively informal, so it gives you the opportunity to share your authentic self. The hiring team will be looking to understand more about your experience and why you're interested in working with us.
- There will be a second interview which will last a little longer, and involve some form of task to showcase your ability to do the role.
- We then invite you to a meet & greet which is an opportunity for you to meet the team you'll be joining and ask them questions about the role and wider business.
